Despite claiming he would be willing to take on the challenge, Tommy Fury has accused Jake Paul of dodging talks of a potential rematch between the two fighter. Tommy Fury, the younger brother of legendary boxer Tyson Fury, claims to have been double crossed by YouTube star Jake Paul in regards to a potential rematch. Fury had previously been open to making a return to the ring against the American, despite losing in the first instalment of their professional boxing showdown. The British fighter was defeated in the six-round match back in April of this year, with Paul emerging victorious by unanimous decision. Despite the loss, Fury insisted that he would “definitely” take on a rematch against Paul, expressing his desire to prove himself against the 24-year-old again. However, Fury has since accused Paul of shying away from pursuit of the rematch, telling reporters of the situation: “He just doesn’t want it. I’ve been calling him out left, right and centre to try and set it up, but it’s clear he’s not interested. He made a few comments about my height and that he’d school me next time, but he’s already made it clear he hasn’t got the balls to try and teach me a lesson at the second time of asking.” Fury stands at a towering 6’9” in comparison to Jake Paul's 6’1”, making the height disparity clear for all to see. The 21-year-old has since outlined his hope to take on other YouTube fighters in the future, but it is clear that the animosity towards Jake Paul remains. Fury will certainly be looking for revenge at the earliest opportunity, and with Jake Paul's height advantage it's difficult to imagine a situation in which he backs down from the fight.
